With so many roofing contractors in Colorado to choose from we find that most of our clients have similar concerns as to which company is the best choice for them. We thought it may be helpful in your decision to answer some of our most frequently asked questions.
How long have you
been in business?
Little Wing General Contractors is a family owned and operated company operating in the Denver area since 2003.
Are you a member
of the Better Business Bureau?
Little Wing General Contractors is a member of the BBB with an established and proven track record. You can visit the BBB site at http://denver.bbb.org/ to review our file.
Can you provide
Little Wing General Contractors has worked in the Denver Metro and Front Range area since 2003. We have both business and residential references available upon request.
How long does a
roof installation take?
One of the major benefits of working with an experienced company like Little Wing General Contractors is that it only takes one day in most cases to complete an installation. The size of your roof and weather conditions factor into the amount of time for completion, but we own our dump trucks and waste is removed from the job site immediately which cuts down on construction time dramatically.
How can I be sure
that my roof has been installed correctly?
As your contractor, Little Wing is required to purchase a building permit from either the city or county where you live. After the construction is complete the city/county will inspect the roof for any problems. In the unlikely event that there is correction to be made, it is promptly addressed until all parties are satisfied.
There are so many
companies, how do I choose a roofing contractor?
You have the privilege of choosing the roofing company in whom you have the most confidence. Even if you get recommendations from various sources, it is your responsibility to research the companies. You do not have to go with the lowest bid, which is what your insurance company would like you to believe. Remember, an inexpensive roof is no bargain if you have problems, especially if your contractor is no longer around to honor the labor warranty. Be sure the company you choose is reputable, and local. Contact the Better Business Bureau to find out how long they have been in business. Also, make sure they have a solid line of communication (cellular phones, pagers, or two-way radios). In case of an emergency, you want to be able to contact your representative immediately.
What do I need to
do to prepare for the installation of my new roof?
Please refer to the Roofing Guideline page in this section.
What type of
warranty do you have for labor and materials?
Little Wing Roofing, Inc. generally provides you with a two year labor warranty on normal installation. Different materials however, have different manufacturer warranties. They range anywhere from 20 years to lifetime warranties. Ask your representative for details about the product that you are purchasing.
When is payment
due for my roof?
On residential re-roofing projects, payment is due in full upon substantial completion of the roof. If you are dealing with an insurance claim, we ask for the first check as soon as you receive it. Your Little Wing General Contractors representative will invoice your insurance company for the remainder of the roof upon completion. Insurance companies will release the second portion as soon as the roof is completed and they have received an invoice. Final payment is due when you receive your second check. This is usually about seven to ten business days from the completion of your roof. For larger or commercial projects generally we will ask for 1/3 upon material delivery, 1/3 mid-way through the project installation, and the final 1/3 upon completion.
if my insurance check is made out to the mortgage
Most insurance companies will include your mortgage company on the first check. Every mortgage company has its own procedure for releasing funds. You can check with your mortgage company before the job starts to find out what information they require to obtain endorsement, or you can sign a homeowner’s affidavit and let Little Wing General Contractors take care of everything for you. We are very experienced in mortgage company procedures, and in most cases we already have the information needed because we have worked with your company in the past.
